Dear Members, Friends and Supporters of Cranleigh Cricket Club
As we have made it through the rain and cold weather to reach the formal start of the season, we are delighted to let you know, if you didn’t already, that we have been successful in our planning application for a new pavilion.
In line with our 5 Year Vision and in service of the Cranleigh community, we are aiming to raise sufficient funds to enable the building of a beautiful new pavilion offering players, families and the community, a safe and inclusive destination where everyone can be encouraged to participate in cricket, community activity, socialise and feel welcome.
PLEASE support this exciting and transformational project!
Our first ask and target is to help us to raise a critical £160,000. Achieving this initial goal is essential as it opens the gateway for bids to larger funders, including public bodies. We do need your generosity to raise 60% of this amount by the end of the season.

The faster we reach the target, the closer we will be to realising our ambition to deliver this transformational project reducing the impact of inflationary costs.
Dependent upon the level of funding achieved through this and other fundraising initiatives, more of which we will share later, we will undertake the redevelopment in phases. The initial phase involves the redevelopment of the existing machinery garage and moving the machinery to a new storage facility. The second phase will include the introduction of an improved changing facility with a focus on Cranleigh Cricket Club girls and women.
For donations of more than £1000 or to ask further questions about the plans please contact me at robwarby@yahoo.com.
You should know that we raised approximately £2,000 from the April 12th Golf Day and the Race Night last week. Many thanks to everyone that supported the events and to Izzy and his team for organising the activities.
We are delighted to announce that we have a Club Day on 2nd June, with junior matches in the morning and a Club XI vs a former Cranleigh Players XI T20 in the afternoon. There will be a raffle/prize draw and an auction where people can support the club.
We look forward to a bright and sunny summer and reaching our first target very soon.
With sincere regards
Rob Warburton
