Clubhouse Project Update

Club Support Team16 Oct - 08:23

Your views are important!

Dear all

I wanted to update you on some actions for the new clubhouse over the next month or two.

Following on from the incredibly generous donations received from some Members during the season, as you might be aware we exceeded our Summer 2024 fundraising target. We are thrilled and could not be more grateful to those who have supported the club in so many ways to get to this point, not least the donors! This means we can keep moving forwards.

We will be submitting significant grant applications to both Waverley Borough Council and Surrey County Council with the aim of securing additional funding. Have no doubt that competition for these grants is truly fierce and that we will need to present an outstanding case to demonstrate benefit to the wider community, not just to cricket and cricket club members. As a result, we have published a survey to collect information from the local community which will support the bids. Please can you complete the very short survey by 5pm on Monday 21st October, and share with as many friends and family as you can.

HERE is the survey - it takes less than 2 minutes to complete.

Fundraising will continue through the winter months by way of member engagement events, first up is Mazza's famous Quiz Night so please book your tickets in Cranleigh Cricket Club shop

As always, you are welcome to drop in for a drink on Cranleigh Bonfire Night and it’s important that we connect during the autumn and winter too.

Finally, before you or your friends purchase every one of their Christmas gifts, the Crowdfunder appeal remains open as we will still need to raise funds from which to leverage higher levels of grants and loans. So, as you share the survey with friends, relatives or associates please send the donation page too.

Many thanks, we really do appreciate the support.

Paul Bedford
